COMMUNITY

The Blue Mountain Culinary Emporium lies nestled among the corn and prairie grass of the Northern Plains in Northwest Iowa. And even though the main facility is built around a native Iowa barn, guests have compared the experience of first walking through our doors to, "being transported to a foreign land." Others have said the experience was simply unexpected for a town this size in Iowa.

Although, as the people that live here know, this quaint Dutch community isn't just another small town in Iowa! Orange city is home to several business that support the local communities and international travelers alike. In fact, just South of Blue Mountain is the Orange City Area Health system, which generates over $26 million for the county's economy. And directly across the street, you'll find a new $4.5 million community events center, that can accommodate nearly 400 people!

But the community isn't limited to businesses; the arts are a vital part of resident's everyday lives. From woodworking to theatre, the arts are supported not only by the residents, but by the town's thriving Christian liberal arts college

We invite you to discover all that our community has to offer!
